I've been wearing these shoes for 2 1/2 years. I bought them because I hoped it would help me with my daily back pain (I was taking antiinflamatories on a daily basis). Let me also tell you that I'm active. I'm used to aerobic exercise, and I'm fit. Running is my passion and I didn't want to give it up. It was like this, I would wake up pain free, would run on the treadmil and stretch, run some errands and there she was the back pain. Then she'll visit with me till the end of the day. Of course it kept getting worse, till the point I would get out of bed pain free and after walking around the house a little bit there she was the back pain waiting on me to keep me company for the rest of the day. I was researching on the internet when I bumped into these shoes. Actually I was looking for some Birkenstocks when I found MBTs. I was so desperate to come up with a solution for my back pain that I made my husband drive me to Texas, about 70 miles far from where I live, to Frisco so that I could get them that very same day. I didn't want having to wait for the MTBs being shipped and stuff. They advise you to get started little by little and there is a DVD and a pamphlet that cames along with instructions. Anyway, I put MBTs on and got out of the store, did grocery shopping and the relief was so big I wore the shoes for the rest of the day. Next day I put them on when I woke up (literally) and ever since I've wore it for 2 years straight. Sandals in the summer and sneakers in the winter. I like the sandals best. No more pain, no more pills. Although I am fit, my legs got a little bit tired during the first week or so because you start using muscles that might have never been requested before. In the past 6 months I haven't been wearing them as often, I just walk on them when I exercise on the treadmil (running on them is pretty tough, it's like running on very soft sand) and I also make sure I have them on when cleanning the house and traveling. These sandals are just perfect for traveling. I'm brazilian married to an american, so I visit my country often and a 10 hour flight can get your feet pretty swollen. Studies show that you still maintain your good posture for 2 or 3 days when not wearing the MBTs. Bottom line, they took my back pain away for good. I was told they might loose their cushioning after a year but no. Good quality shoes, I'm still wearing the first pair of sandals and sneakers I bought. As far as muscular improvement I havent' noticed much since I was already fit when I started wearing them. I've seen websites that would advertise the fact that these shoes improve your celulite and things like that. MBT Company is very serious and doesn't mention anything like that. I know that some fancy spas do sell them. MBTs are bulky and heavier than normal shoes but nevertheless very comfortable. When you find something that takes your pain away like I found relief in these pair of shoes, you stick with it.

I was shocked how easy it was to adjust to these. Im not big on the chunky style but it is like walking on a cloud! I teach preschool and was wearing nike shox. MBT's are much better!! I can wear them on a treadmill or elliptical but don't think I will be doing a kickboxing class in them. Great for walkers or someone that is on their feet alot at work! Im excited to try them out at my bar tending job, I go home after a 8 hour shift, I hope to have the same positive results. My advice is wear them at home for a day first. If you have any foot aches try them out!

Quick delivery. Well packaged. Good product. The sneaker takes some getting used to. I work 12 hr shifts in the ER so I tried them around town before working in them. The earliest bracelets date back to around 2500 BC and were those worn by the Sumerians in southern Mesopotamia. Bracelets were found in the tombs of Ur where it was customary to bury royalty with their jewellery and unfortunately their poor servants.

By about 2000 BC, in Ancient Egypt, bracelets emerged as major pieces of jewellery.
Bracelets were found in the ruins from the Vesuvias eruption in Pompeii in 79 AD.
It was during the age of the Egyptian Pharaohs that charm bracelets were first seen
although charms themselves dated back as far as the Neolithic era when men would
gather unusual bits of wood or pieces of stone which would be carried about their
person in order to ward off their enemies. So these charms were considered lucky
charms and powerful protectors against evil.
It wasnt until the time of the Pharaohs though that these charms were incorporated
into elaborate pieces of jewellery such as wrist and neck bracelets which were not
only deemed to offer protection but were also a sign of how prosperous the person
had been in life and after death would be an indicator to the Gods of this persons
proper status in the after life.

In Grecian times bracelets were popular with men and soldiers wore defensive bands
of leather, often decorated with gold, silver and or gemstones, on their forearms.
They were known as Bracels, from the Latin Brachium, meaning, arm. When
women caught on that these Bracels would look great on them, they started wearing
smaller versions, called little Bracels...or Bracel-ets.

The history of bracelets stretches forward through the Middle Ages of medieval
Europe through the Baroque period of the 18th century, and on right through to the
present.

Throughout time, bracelets have been made from many different materials such as
leather, iron, copper, beads, bone and teeth as well as precious metals and
gemstone.
Throughout the ages bracelets have always been popular and the styles seem to
have varied according to dress styles. In cultures where people wore sleeveless or
short sleeved attire such as the Romans and ancient Greeks, the wearing of

Upon opening the box I said, "ok, so they're round bottom shoes that look like tires at the bottom." But my first walking experience with them was incredible! It can be used to fuel an engine for electricity, and afterward the waste heat can be used in a communal heating power plant then producing both power and heat. The heat given off can also be used for heating and drying processes.

Biomethane is a big opportunity because it is being viewed worldwide as an untapped source of energy that, upon recovery and pretreatment, can be used to supply a portion of a nation's natural gas needs. A number of new projects are being sponsored by the U.S. Government for this reason.

It is a regenerative (renewable) fuel with the best production efficiency of all biogenic fuels. Additionally, it need not compete with the production of human food products if the source materials are all wastes.

Biogas consists primarily of methane (CH4), a gas which can be burned to produce heat and electricity. Treated manure can also be transformed into a bio-fertilizer with high agronomic value.

It is most often collected and piped to an engine-generator where it undergoes combustion to produce electricity. However, during energy generation there is a loss of efficiency during transmission which would not occur if the fuel was used directly, where the energy is consumed.

It would be more efficient to use it say in a vehicle at the point at which the energy is consumed. It can be compressed, much like natural gas , and used to power motor vehicles. Both natural gas and biogas can be used in petrol vehicles relatively easily, but some engine adjustments are necessary. For passenger cars, there are purpose-built vehicles that can be fueled with both petrol and compressed natural gas (CNG). But CNG powered transport still only plays a small role within even the most developed German market, (60,000 vehicles to date) although popularity is rising, particularly among local transport authorities.

Biomethane is also used in Sweden as vehicle fuel. It has been reported that at least seven units for upgrading and filling of biogas are in operation at present. It is a renewable energy source because it is extracted from the natural circulation of carbon which has always taken place, and importantly creates no net increase in carbon in the atmosphere.

Biogas is not utilised as vehicle fuel anywhere near as effectively as it could be, and there are almost no biogas upgrading plants available in AD Plants.

There are also no NGV vehicles for use of compressed natural gas (CNG) or biogas available to the public or sold in many countries.

While in the short-term there is potential for biomethane as a fuel, a further significant role also exists which could be played in the mid-term by biomethane-to-liquid by using biomethane as the input for the gas-to-liquid process. This should be noted although we will not have room to discuss it further here.

Biogas being a renewable fuel, attracts renewable energy subsidies in many parts of the world. The fact that biogas could be used much more effectively in the west can be seen from the fact that it already serves more than one million people in Nepal (reported at 4% of the population). The AD sector is also a significant employer and it reportedly provides about 11,000 permanent jobs in the country. If anyone needed to be convinced that 'small scale can be big' then they need look no further that the Nepalese experience!

Anaerobic digestion which produces this gas is basically a simple process carried out in a number of steps that can use almost any organic material as a substrate. It occurs naturally in digestive systems, marshes, rubbish dumps, septic tanks and in the Arctic Tundra.

Most people in the west producing this gas tend to seem to make the process as complicated as possible by trying to improve on nature in complex machines, but a simple approach is also possible, as seen in Nepal, China, South America and India.

The other remaining products, after digestion can also be useful. Further research and implementation of drying digestates from biogas plants would also be useful however it is a totally new field of application to the west. Very similar, manure drying tunnels are not in themselves a novelty, however, up to now they are largely only used for drying poultry manure prior to combustion.

So, all the various methods of producing biomethane need further development, but this can be done quite rapidly, and then biogas has a big chance of being able to reduce our carbon footprints.

Customer Review: Quite a workout
First, I followed directions and ordered a half size larger. Luckily, they came the size I needed. So the fit was fine. Second, these shoes just somehow make me walk a certain way. Shorter strides. Erect. I walk slower in them. It takes a lot of effort for me to walk fast in these. For me, they're just not conducive for long, fast strides. Not now, anyway. Maybe after pretty intense conditioning. I've had mine for four months or so and they've definitely enhanced the normal walk as far as making me feel as though I've worked. The first night in bed after wearing these shoes, my legs were so happy, it wasn't funny. Not until I got off my feet did I realize how weary I was. The shoes are heavy but that's part of the workout as far as I'm concerned. The writeup states that you can run in these. I'm not seeing that happening for me. They're just not right for running. On the occasions that I jog, I put on regular running shoes. There is just too much weight and rock and height in these shoes for me to feel comfortable jogging in. A friend who tried my shoes on, despite being 2 and a half sizes smaller, instantly stated, "I can feel these are working my calves and the back of my thighs." Not such a bad thing. I give 5 stars because I can't think of a good reason to detract any stars.
Customer Review: this style is made much narrower than others
I bought these after reading up on MBT's therapeutic benefits. I ordered then a size larger than my usual, as suggested by other comments. However, when I received them, they were tighter and narrower than all my other shoes. After that, I went to a local store known for good fitting... and they told me this style was returned a lot to them, and is now discontinued. I ended up buying these there: Women Shoes MBT LAMI RED SIZE 41 2/3(US10.5) (9, not 10.5 as in this link) and they are wonderful! I got them in my usual size. They fit beautifully, with lots of toe room. I even have a mild bunion problem, and had no issues with these at all. As for the benefits... wow! I'm amazed at how wonderful these shoes feel. The first few days I actually did feel some muscle workout, as advertised, but was able to do more and go farther with these shoes without breaking them in than any other athletic-type shoes I've owned. Knee pain, back pain, everything was much less with these shoes. Yeah, they're expensive, but well worth it. Funny looking? I don't know, when I'm standing in a long line, rocking on my MBTs, I think the pinched-toed painful shoes look funny! But you really need to try on the MBT shoes, I think, because there is a size variation problem among styles, unfortunately. These Boosts simply weren't made for the same foot as the Lamis I ended up buying. Don't rule out your MBTs based on the Boost!

I recently moved to Seoul, South Korea and my in-laws bought these shoes for me. It takes me about 1 hour and ten minutes of subway and street walking. Usually when I get tired my posture goes and my knees start to hurt. These shoes have helped to straighten my posture and TOTALLY get rid of mild knee pain. These shoes also make climbing steps easier. These really make me walk from heel to toe and they really feel good (after I learned who talk walk in them). I experienced a "workout" the first month or two wearing them but the feeling the shoes provide make me prefer them to my normal shoes sometimes. Movement in my feet and knees just feels really smooth. One reservation though. In my opinion these shoes are made for city walking. I would not recommend them for trail walking. You won't actually wobble but you might feel not as stable as walking on a trail shoe. Highly recommended for walking ~ probably the best shoes made for walking

I ordered these becasue I've heard such good things about them from other wearers. Didn't take long for me to break in, but once I got going, I quickly started feeling the burn in the upper thighs and calf area. One to caution..this shoe does run small. I normally wear a size 11 in women shoes, but becasue of the rocking motion backwards, my toes rammed into the front of the shoe quite often. I would suggest for women who wear an 11 to go with a Men's size 9.5 for more room. Otherwise, was quite satisfied with my purchase

Dresses and stilettos may still be in vogue, but where is the legwear? As a career woman who considers tights, stockings, pantyhose, and their cousins de rigueur, I want to take this opportunity to sing the praises of legwear.

I know that some women argue that legwear is as constricting for women as neckties are for men, but I find it liberating. What I wear on my legs is an extension of the clothes, shoes, and accessories I choose to wear. Just as I wouldn't want to go to work without my make-up, I wouldn't dream of going to work with bare legs.

The sheer variety of women's legwear that is available is enough to blow your socks off (no pun intended). There's something out there for every mood and every occasion.
